Cookie Notice

Last updated: November 7, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how Swiftcell Pty Ltd ("SwiftCell," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies, local storage, and other similar technologies (collectively, "Cookies") to recognise you when you visit our website at swiftcell.io (the "Website") and when you use the SwiftCell add-in for Microsoft Excel, our web application at app.swiftcell.io, and related services (the "Services"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

For more about how SwiftCell collects, uses, and shares your personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. A Cookie contains information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that set it. Website owners use Cookies for many reasons, including to make their websites work (or work more efficiently), to remember preferences, and to produce website analytics.

Cookies are typically either "session cookies," which are deleted automatically when you close your browser, or "persistent cookies," which usually remain on your device until you delete them or they expire. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, SwiftCell) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by anyone else are called "third-party cookies"; they allow third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website, such as analytics.

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as local storage. Local storage lets a website or application store information on your device so that certain features work. We may use it to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and choices, and make the Services faster. The SwiftCell add-in runs inside Microsoft Excel and relies mainly on local storage rather than cookies.

Why does SwiftCell use Cookies?

We use Cookies for several reasons. Some Cookies are required for technical reasons that are essential for the Website and Services to operate and to provide the functionality you ask for. We refer to these as "Strictly Necessary" Cookies. Others help us remember your choices, or help us understand how the Website and Services are used so that we can improve them.

For details on specific Cookies, see our Cookie Tables.

Type of CookiesDescriptionWho serves these Cookies
Strictly Necessary CookiesEssential to provide you with the Website and Services, for example to keep you signed in, secure your session, remember your Cookie choices, and process payments. Because these Cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Website and Services, they cannot be switched off in our systems. You can set your browser to block or alert you about them, but some parts of the Website or Services will not work.SwiftCell, Supabase, Stripe

Analytics CookiesAllow us to count visits and traffic sources, and to understand how the Website and Services are used, so that we can measure and improve their performance and functionality. Analytics Cookies may also be used to record how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation, which may include content displayed on screen, such as items in your library. We set Analytics Cookies only if you accept them.Google, PostHog, and Microsoft (Clarity), where enabled
Marketing CookiesWe do not use Marketing Cookies. If that changes, we will update this Cookie Notice first. Not applicable

Some of our service providers, such as Vercel for website analytics and performance, measure visits without using Cookies. These measurements do not identify you.

How can you control Cookies?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject Cookies other than Strictly Necessary Cookies. When you first visit the Website or open the Services, we ask whether you accept analytics Cookies, and we do not set them unless you do. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the Website's stored data in your browser, after which we will ask you again.

You can also control Cookies at the browser level by setting your web browser to accept or refuse them. If you refuse Cookies, you may still use the Website and Services, although some functionality may be restricted. Browsers manage Cookies differently, so see your browser's help menu for instructions.

We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the Cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this Cookie Notice regularly to stay informed about our use of Cookies and related technologies. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
